Call Your Congress person about the FCC

The ever alert, and ever active, Lisa English of Ruminate This reminds us that today people from all over the country are calling their congress person in order to remind them to vote to overturn the FCC's media consolidation plans. You can find the phone number of your Representative here. Call even if you do not think the person will be receptive. One, if enough people call and mention that this is a concern they vote on, you might change their minds. Two, the more people call, the more likely this is to be noticed by the media and reported. Three, if it does get coverage, a lot of calls form conservative areas could lead to lines like "Even the ultra conservative Marsha Blackburn was inundated with calls demanding the repeal of the FCC's monopoly enabling regulations."

It will take three minutes. They even provide a suggested script. Go make the call.
