The President Who Appointed the FEMA Director Will Now Appoint the Chief Justice by KTK

That’s why the Democrats need to organize a solid and coherent bloc demanding reasonable jurists with a commitment to civil rights. If his winger lunacy wasn’t evidence enough, the simple fact that everything he does is a miserable failure, and his appointments are incompetent hacks and toadies, should invalidate any presumption in favor of this President’s choices for high office.

This is simply too important to grant any deference to the choices of someone whose judgment, on policy and appointments, is so demonstrably flawed. The Democrats should simply state that – on the basis of the evidence from Iraq, Plamegate, the self-humiliations of Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice, the idiocy of John Bolton, and of course the disaster at FEMA – Bush’s appointments are presumptively incompetent and the burden is on him to prove that his nominees meet their standards of ability and judgment, and not the other way around. Then stick to their guns and work as a team for once.

I think our only option to prevent the complete degradation of the American way of life (and I’m not talking about crass consumerism, but freedoms of privacy, religion and expression) is to demand Mr. Bush’s resignation. Join me as I try to start a grassroots movement to do just this. My blog is

Well here goes. Your site implies a need for html and I am probably not too good at html having only used MS Front Page a few times inspite of having worked as an ORACLE Database consultant for quite a few years. I’m currently forcefully retired. A nice word for not being able to find work in my field in the local area near Cattanooga or Tullahoma and having a somewhat limited fixed income jokingly called retirement.

I couldn’t agree more with your comments regarding the general incompetence of the Bush administration.

I know that we have a class/race problem. but more than that, we have a problem where our leadership has been more willing to ignore the signs of impending disaster than to accept the truth. Also, unfortunately these people did not live in Florida where they are showering money in order to shore up Jeb Bush’s regime. In spite of that, I understand that in Florida, many people are still waiting for promised new homes and money.

In 1995, when we were in New Orleans on a consulting contract, Hurricane Opal looked like it would hit New Orleans. Everyone there knew that if the tidal wave form a Catagory 4 or higher hurricane hit that a second wave would come back up to twice as high as the original wave.

Yet, I just heard Meet the Press where our Head of HomeLand security claimed that nobody could of imagined the second wave.

I think that it is time to fire the lot of
them and I’m considering seeing if I can get some clever bumper stickers started with that message.

By the way, can someone tell me how to get a blog of my own started.
