Bad Week in Tennessee

This week, a Selmer preacher was found shot dead, apparently by his wife; and a Memphis couple that has been missing since March 15 has reportedly been found dead, apparently brutally murdered.
Condolences go out to the families, and especially to the children of the Selmer minister. I can’t imagine learning that Daddy’s dead, and Mommy killed him, especially at that young age.
It’s been a bad year in Tennessee, tgirsch. School shootings, prison escapes, murders, embarrassing legislative initiatives (well, we’re used to those!). It’s enough to give a man the red state blues.

Unfortunately, all of those things seem to cross blue/red boundaries.

Is it me, or are these things happening more and more to the true believer christians - maybe they can’t cope with the quickening or the rapture, or whatever.
