My score on the retarded quiz (and he’s right, it’s pretty awful): 11, which puts me right in between Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton (and your first clue that the quiz is bad is that they rank Hillary as more liberal than Bill).

Five things about me you didn’t know:

1. I have a bifid palatine uvula. (No, that’s not actually a picture of mine, just one like mine.)
2. I once won a Studebaker portable radio in a Karaoke contest by doing my Louis Armstrong impersonation.
3. I never learned how to blow bubbles. Still can’t do it, to this day.
4. When I was 15 or 16, I was jumped as part of a gang initiation. I completely froze, and just stood there while the guy punched and kicked me. Mind you, I said stood there. It seemed to really bother him that I didn’t go down, and didn’t fight back. Just stood there and took it. After a few minutes, somebody saw us and chased the guys off.
5. I drive an incredibly environmentally unfriendly car (not an SUV, though). It’s a big old Buick that gets about 17 city and 23 highway. I bought it before I knew better.

What I appreciate as a DBA:

I’m not a morning person, so I appreciate the fact that my job actually requires me to keep goofy hours. That, and I have a very short attention span, and being a DBA provides me with lots of disparate tasks that need to be done. I don’t have to focus in on one thing for great lengths of time, which is good, because I’m bad at that. I’ve gained enough respect among my peers that many of them look to me for advice, and I’ve even been asked to give presentations on several occasions (which I’ve done, as I’m a pretty good public speaker — ask Uncle). Oh, and the pay isn’t shabby, either.
