2. List out your top 5 favorite places to eat at your location. (Not including my house; like Uncle, I cook a lot.)
- Three Little Pigs BBQ: For my money, the best pulled pork in Memphis, and possibly on Earth.
- Tacqueria La Guadalupana: Authentic tacos (no flour or crispy corn tortillas here), the best chips & salsa, and the Pechuga a la Plancha is a personal favorite. You’re not going for atmosphere, though; you’re going for the food.
- The Half Shell: Good, fresh seafood, reasonably priced, including oysters on the half shell for $9 a dozen. Can’t beat it.
- Cafe Toscana: I’ve never had a bad meal there, but the Parmesan-encrusted Tilapia is stellar, and I can’t get past it.
- It’s cliché, but Corky’s: I love their dry ribs, and I can’t find anyone else’s that I like better. Rendezvous sucks, by the way.
3. Tag five others.
Jeff springs to mind, but otherwise, if you feel like it, do it, and if you don’t, dont.
UPDATE: Bond, Another Memphian (albeit a new one) takes the bait.
I think someone mentioned 3 Little Pigs BBQ before….yummy BBQ is alwys good..Oysters at the Half Shelf sounds amazing and cheap….and dry ribs at Corky’s?? wooo sounds finger licking good
Ps thanks for doing the tag. I hope you enjoyed it.. If you know of anyone else doing it please feel free to send me a message and I’ll update them too on the updated list of tag doers

Well, if you’re ever in Memphis (a long way from NSW, but who knows?) we’ll be sure to take you there.

3 little pigs sounds like a cute name.. and let’s hope the big bad wolf is not around.
Oh… I love tacos
sounds like I know where I can find em.
Okay… now I love seafood, steak, ribs and coffee… and I guess you pretty much nailed everything I love.
I LOVE YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS. And thank god you did this tag!

Interesting group of restaurants…
I left Corky’s off as I was trying to not be so predictable, though the dry rub ribs are excellent…
I am near Poplar and Kirby, so on the outside of the loop from where your selections are, but they are all within a 10 minute drive.
I bookmarked them all and will have to give them a try. I presume you are over in that general area.

Bond:
I used to live right by Poplar & Kirby, in the Hunter’s Trace apartments. Back then, the Bottom Line used to be across the street (I think it’s something else now), and that was my Monday Night Football bar, since I didn’t have a TV in that apartment.
I’m actually within a five minute drive of all the places I mentioned, inside the loop near I-240 and Perkins.
What brings you to Memphis?
