Ahh, Civility

Right wing lunatic Ted Nugent:
NUGENT [video clip]: I was in Chicago. I said, “Hey, Obama, you might want to suck on one of these, you punk!”
Obama, he’s a piece of [bleep]. And I told him to suck on my machine gun. Let’s hear it for it.
And I was in New York. I said, “Hey, Hillary, you might want to ride one of these into the sunset, you worthless [bleep]!”
Mainstream, respected right wing pundit Sean Hannity:
BECKEL: Are you prepared now, Sean — are you prepared to disavow this lowlife or not?
HANNITY: No, I like Ted Nugent. He’s a friend of mine.
But liberals say mean things, and the spread of eliminationist rhetoric is a myth.

It’s an improvement for Hannity. This time, his lies at least are based on words somebody actually said. You should see him with David Horowitz, whom he things is too soft on liberals.

Forgive my ignorance, but who the heck is Ted Nugent? I mean I know he’s a musician, but when was he popular? what did he write or sing? I can’t place him.

Tim, you haven’t missed much.
(i think his heyday was in the 1980’s, possibly the 1970’s; he’s a warmed-over hard rocker who’s old enough by now that he ought to have outgrown hard rock; and i think his greatest hit was a paean to famous bowhunter Fred Bear.)

Cat Scratch Fever rings a bell, I think I heard five seconds of it on some “best of the 70’s” commercial on a late night cable.
Thanks

So now liberals are going to say a musician should not take a political stance?
Ted is nothing but fun live. When I saw him he would regularly say things like “Isn’t the US the greatest country ever?” and “Kids, never use drugs!”
Yep, pretty scary stuff for a liberal.

It’s not particularly acceptable for a person to claim — in front of thousands of people — that he would like to violently murder the two leading Democratic candidates with his own machine gun. The very fact that you claim it was just an instance of a musician taking a political stand just buries you further. You see, as hard as it may be for you to comprehend, calling for outright murder is just a tiny bit different than only making political statements.
Familiarize yourself with the meaning of the term “eliminationist”. Seriously.
Eliminationism (as defined by David Niewert):
“It’s a fairly self-explanatory term: it describes a kind of politics and culture that shuns dialogue and the democratic exchange of ideas for the pursuit of outright elimination of the opposing side, either through complete suppression, exile and ejection, or extermination.”
And I just love that user name. Perhaps if you type it enough, one day the forces of the Universe will shift and somehow make it a reality.

Familiarize yourself with “get a life”. Speaking of familiar, sucking on, and riding on, should be familiar words to Clinton supporters. Did I miss the word elimination or is that something you came up with? Face it… The thing that really bothers you is a musician not spewing a bunch of liberal crap. Dude, get over it!
