Family Values
I love Krugman.
Just a word of advice to our conservative friends: when you prattle on about fiscal responsibility and the dangers of “socialized medicine” and how you really do care about the problems of sick people, the rest of humanity might be a bit more inclined to believe you if you didn’t act like such soulless, cast-iron pricks.
UPDATE: NOT referring to commentators here, conservative or otherwise, sorry. I thought the context was clear: specifically referring to the people quoted in Krugman’s piece and the opinion leaders who use the same language.

How have the conservative posters* on here acted like “such soulless, cast-iron pricks”?

They haven’t; I thought the context of who I was talking about was clear, but it obviously wasn’t. Sorry.

Sorry, I figured “our conservative friends” was referring to people like SayUncle and I, not the people in the article.
