I was unable to watch this without imagining Uncle blustering angrily. That didn’t stop me from laughing my ass off, however:

Meanwhile, in other guns in bars news. Of course, if more people in the bar had been armed, I’m sure the situation would have been much more orderly, and fewer people would have gotten hurt. I mean, it’s just common sense.

I stopped watching Colbert when he stopped being funny. In other news, the case in Memphis was an off duty police officer breaking the law! Oh nos.

Someone not drinking at an establishment that serves alcohol is no different than someone not drinking at McDonald’s.

This helps the case for guns in bars how, exactly?

    I’m afraid I don’t follow you.

    Who said it did?

    ‘I’m afraid I don’t follow you.’

The bill says it’s OK to pack where booze is served if you’re not drinking. So, how is that different from being strapped in McDonald’s where you’re also not drinking?

Hmm, I’d say that people should be allowed to carry their guns inside bars, but it should also be the bar owner’s right to not allow people with guns to enter their private property.

    LOL.

I just posted this video too and within 10 minutes got a pro-gun comment reminding me that the folks carrying the weapons aren’t allowed to consume alcohol.

But if the weapon is concealed, then who will police this?

Can’t see ANY problems with this, no sirreee…..

So, we should have no gun laws?

    I concur

Yes, allow them in, but trust them not to drink. You know, the same way minors are dealt with. Oh, wait a minute…

I love the Nashville bar owner’s analysis. I suspect he’s right:

Guns, Alcohol, Rednecks: Pick any two.

So a law is going to stop a person from illegally concealing a gun in a bar? This is a hotbutton issue here in Va. I can open carry to an Olive Garden and drink, and that’s OK, but I can’t be trusted to conceal carry in Olive Garden because I may get wasted and my server won’t be able to police me? Great logic! I mean I avoid Applebees because of all the laws and police that hang out there to bust VCDL members! Save me from myself!

I know how to fix this! We will make it illegal for minors to drink! Oh, wait a minute…
