Which Gagne Did The Brewers Get?

We have our answer.
Frickin’ frackin’ rassin’ frassin’ grumble grumble…
UPDATE: At least the Brewers came back to win that game…
Hey, he’s 1-0. What’s not to like (other than an ERA of 27). Glad he’s with your team and no longer with mine.

Welcome to the world of blown saves..

BWAHAHAHAHAHA. One of the best moves the Sox made was not bringing him back.

john h:
What do you mean “welcome?” We’ve had Turnbow for quite a while now, and last year, Cordero blew a 6 run lead in the ninth — at one point, he had a three run lead, two outs, and nobody on, and still managed to blow it.

My guy just wracked up a nice four out save with 3 Ks. I don’t think anyone in Red Sox nation misses Gagme.

Oh, and while I watched the game on my laptop, I watched Dr Strangelove on TV. I had forgotten James Earl Jones was in the movie.

Which happens first:
A) Gagne out with season-ending injury
B) Gagne loses job to Turnbow
C) Gagne gives up dramatic game-tying/lead-changing homer in heated game and Prince Fielder walks over from firstbase and knocks him out? (Seriously, Fielder is an easy-going guy by all accounts, but he’s got one intense/mean looking grill).
Ooh, I’m sorry, the correct answer is D) Rickie Weeks season-ending injury, at the time of which, he had compiled more errors than games played.
Actually, I like the Brew Crew. I mean that both ways - I like them as a team, and I think they’ll contend again. They may even be the favorite. As is always the case, they need a (near) full season out of Sheets. I was happy they had enough common sense to move Braun to the OF and bring Hall back into the infield. Braun has a monster stick, but he was Bobby Bonilla bad with the glove last year. That move alone should help the staff.

I suspect that if Gagne loses the closer’s job, he won’t lose it to Turnbow — he’ll lose it to Riske.
I’m still not sure about the Cameron acquisition, but if Gwynn, Jr. continues to play well, it might not matter.
The question mark, as always, is the pitching. Will Suppan return to his 2006 form? Can Gallardo get healthy, and will he be able to repeat his 2007 success? Will betting on Parra and Villanueva pay off? Will Capuano be able to get healthy, get his head back in the game, and contribute? And, as always, will Sheets be able to stay healthy?
(Sheets’ curve, by the way, is evil. It has to be seen in person to be truly appreciated.)
As for Braun, I always worry about a sophomore slump after a successful rookie season like that one, but I think he’ll be okay. And yes, Weeks is a question mark on both offense and defense. Then again, if Dillon continues to play like he did late last year, we might not need to worry much about it.
