NHL Playoff Predictions, Sans Analysis
Posted by tgirsch

What can I say, it’s been busy, and I don’t have a horse in this race:

EAST:

- Canadiens over Bruins in 4
- Penguins over Senators in 5
- Flyers over Capitals in 7
- Devils over Rangers in 6

WEST:

- Red Wings over Predators in 6
- Sharks over Flames in 5 (The Sharks won’t do their perennial choke until round two)
- Avalanche over Wild in 7
- Ducks over Stars in 6

    To tgirsch

    Your predictions were almost correct.
Canadiens over Bruins took 7 games
Pens over Senators took 4 … a sweep
    Flyers over Caps dead on..
Rangers over Devils in 5 you weren’t even close

    In the West:
    Wings was a given
    Stars was a given
Avalanche a good pick to win
Dallas smokes the defending Stanley Cup Champs… a dissapointment.

    I’ll give my predictions:

NYR vs Penns: NYR in 7 why: Goaltending…. enough said
Habs vs Flyers: Habs in 7 why: Goaltending…. enough said
Red Wings vs Av’s: Red Wings in 6 why: Goaltending… dito
    Sharks vs Ducks: pick’em….

    I’ll go even furthur:

NYR vs Habs: An original six Conference final. A good match between two excellent goaltenders.
Prediction: NYR in 7 games: why: Gomez, Dury, and
    Goaltending

Red Wings vs ????: I cannot pick Detroits opponent at this time.

    Stanley Cup Finals:

Too far in advance to even think about…..

Remember: HOCKEY RULES ………….. enough said.
