Mindless fun. This one of my blog posts turned into a work of art. Click on the picture for the larger view.

Very cool stuff. Reminds me of some development work we did a while back designing algorithms to read connectivity data and compute compact layouts for schematic drawings, minimizing path crossings. Tough nut to crack.

That is a tough nut to crack. Sounds like it would have been a lot of fun to work on.

Yes, it was. We were trying to develop a prototype that we could market to airframers, auto manufacturers, etc. Those guys spend huge bucks manually creating schematics. It sat on top of our graphics software so the presentation side was already there.
Came close, but didn’t get it. Lost track of the state of the art. For all I know, it’s readily available as an AutoCAD app by now.
I’m designing a new portfolio for my company right now, and I think I’ll take some of the marketing material, run it through the wordle app, turn the result into a watermark (heavily fade the text), and use it as the inside cover page. Might be cool.
