I can’t decide if this is targeted toward libertarian parents or neoconservative parents, though…

Liberals are the ones who don’t mind if babies are killed before they are born so why would they not want to harm newborn babies?

That’s the beauty of The Onion. A lot of its pieces are politically ambiguous, or at least in the eye of the beholder. At its best, The Onion spotlights both the callousness of the neo-con, and the ridiculously oversensitivity/protectiveness of the bleeding heart. The notion that babies shouldn’t ever have to cry is equally humorous/nonsensical as the fact that they don’t cry enough.

Anybody see the Bob Saget roast last night?

I saw a bit of the roast. Roasting Saget is the culinary equivalent of roasting dirt.

I think the Pam Anderson roast set a standard that will be difficult to match.

I thought the Anderson roast was awful, actually. They were better when it was still the Friar’s club doing them anyway (the Jerry Stiller one I remember as being really good).

Apparently they’re still doing them, but Comedy Central’s not broadcasting those roasts any more.

So, I think the baby’s face is photoshopped from this: http://bulletproofglace.wordpress.com/2008/05/12/bill-oreilly-likes-to-yell/

The Saget one was certainly one of the weaker ones. I thought the Flavor Flav one was absolutely hilarious. Of course, getting all the jokes is an implicit admission of a proclivity for some of the lowest brow culture reality TV has to offer.

Hey, there’s only so much PBS you can watch while high…
