On Being A White Male by tgirsch

This one’s largely for Big U in the gender-and-race debate, but we could all use a good laugh.

P.S. Louis C.K. is one of the funniest damn guys out there.

typical white self-loathing liberal.

typical humorless prick. :)

No disarming emoticon necessary when you speak truth, TG.

Louie C.K. is a totally under-rated/appreciated comedian. He got a shot on a HBO series, granted, but the fact that Dane Cook is more successful than this guy is criminal.

Wow, I don’t find the humor in someone disparaging people for their race and now I’m a prick. Typical lefty hypocrisy.

Tell us, bob, which people was he disparaging for being which race?

digg:

The fact that Dane Cook is popular at all is criminal. Add him to the long list of “stuff I don’t get.” And I suppose the reason Louis CK isn’t more popular is because his humor is so irreverent and edgy on the topic of kids, which makes a whole lot of people uncomfortable, but makes me wet myself with laughter.

bob:

I’m with Dan M, just exactly who did he disparage for their race? If you don’t like what the routine says, blame history, not Louis CK.

You get to laugh at humor involving race and get away with it when you are not a bigot. Along with interracial pussy, it’s one of the better perks.
